Petition Letter
Petition Letter: dear arts and science integrity team,
I would like to appeal the decision of professor Majd, in the finding of a departure from academic integrity in phgy 118 case. I believe that his decision was made wrongfully. This is my first offence and his penalty is the severest possible penalty that he can impose as a professor solely based on his decision alone. In the meeting I had with professor Majd it seemed more like I was talking to no one as he did not want to put any input into our meeting; In the form of questions or acknowledgement of what I was explaining. Moreover, the meeting felt like professor Majd had a bias he already confirmed thus, the meeting felt pointless. Also, in the finding of departure from academic integrity he stated that I had denied all of the accusations which is not true. I acknowledge that the use of an unauthorized calculator had occurred in this exam. He stated that my explanation was not credible and was not verifiable based on the evidence I provided and explained. On top of this, I felt that the professor had no sympathy for what happened during the exam. Moving forward I understand that I breached academic integrity and understand that there will be consequences. However, is there any chance that my case could be appealed and reconsider the penalty? Have a great day, I'm looking forward to hearing back from you.
sincerely,
Tristan Lem

Academic Plan
Academic Plan: I would like the decision made by professor Majd in my Finding of a departure from academic integrity in PHYS 118 to be revisited as I do not believe the meeting I had with him had any effect on his decision as he had a firm bias. let me know if there is anything you like for me to explain further or provide.
