Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I do not believe I have been fairly assessed on this assignment. Due to the assignment also having a peer review component I was surprised to hear that the class average was 80% while I was awarded a 65% (initially). It also seems strange that upon requesting a regrade my mark went down 1%. I question whether or not this was the result of bias or some sort of point the TA was trying to prove because I questioned their peer's decisions. I then tried to bring this up with a Prof and she said that she was already aware of my concerns, further confirming that the initial mark and subsequent reassessment was correct. It is for this reason I am submitting a formal appeal in hopes of getting a different result. I have the history of correspondence with the TA and Dr. Turner should you want to see it. In this correspondence I clearly state my specific concerns with the grading of my assignment and which sections I believe were wrongly assessed.
