Petition Letter: In the 2019-20 academic year, I registered for one course, HIST 122. Unfortunately, I did not get a good score in this course. Meanwhile, I missed the opportunity provided by the school for students to change their final score into Pass or Fail. This is because my grandfather passed away because of illness in March, 2020.At that time, due to the ravages of COVID-19 and the remoteness of my hometown (I am Chinese), I had to focus most of my energy on the journey home, isolation and mourning for my grandfather in the following two months. As a result, I missed the opportunity offered by the school to change my score to Pass or Fail.
Academic Plan
Academic Plan: There is not much difference between me and the total credits required for graduation, so I have enough time and energy to retake this course. However, the biggest problem is that the school has not offered this course again in the 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 academic years, so I would like to apply for changing the final score of this course to Pass or Fail. One is because I had the chance to do it, but I missed it because of my grandfather's death. Second, if this course is no longer offered before I graduate, I will not be able to improve my grades. Changing it to Pass/Fail will improve quickly.
