Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I am appealing for this course because over the last few months, I have been struggling with mental illnesses that have been documented by Queen's wellness with my counsellor Chelsea Stelmach. I am currently not able to reach her since I am out of the province, which means that she can't assist me in my procedures, but I have the letters of accommodation. I was in very rough shape and I still am to a certain level, which led to me having a lower grade than expected in one of my courses but still passing it, putting one of these courses on pause, being LATN 110 and I am currently completing it, and failing this course ECON 222 which is the last course of my program I am required to graduate. I wrote the final exam which was worth 50% when I was in a state that most people would not even get out of their bed and I am assuming I failed miserably since I failed the course and needed a 46% to earn a passing grade, meaning that before the final, I was passing the course with at least 50% of the course completed. This course not being offered online, I cannot try and complete it this summer, as I am now doing a bit better and can concentrate to some level. I am really out of option here, and I know for a fact that if it weren't for my condition, I would have passed this final exam for sure, as I would have been able to concentrate and not have a panic attack around the two hour marker which made me rush the final three questions of the exam and submit it to a level which I find unacceptable.
