Petition Letter: The reason behind dropping this course is because recently my endocrinologist suggested that I have been displaying signs of depression which caused a severe lack of motivation. This lack of motivation has been affecting my school greatly as I am mentally able to continue this course. He also suggested that depression can also be the cause of how little I have been sleeping. This also causes me to not be able to focus on my studying. The primary reason he told me I may have depression and recommended me to a therapist is that it is affecting how I have been managing my diabetes. I have been poorly managing my diabetes and this has caused me to be constantly fatigued throughout the day. This course has been way too much for me to handle and I think it is best for me to recover during the summer so I can be fresh for when the fall/winter semester comes.
