Petition Letter
Petition Letter: I am appealing that my year-long academic withdrawal and transcript/transfer units be open for the university I am planning on transferring to. The reason for my appeal is because this academic school year has been a very challenging one, due to my mental health struggles that were due to Covid-19, the constant and abrupt switch between Online and In-person learning, and being away from my home support group and home indigenous community, and the unwelcoming environment as an Indigenous student at Queens university. As stated above, these challenges have taken a huge toll on my mental health which affected my ability to perform my best in assignments as well as keeping up with classes
Academic Plan
Academic Plan: My academic plan is to transfer to the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus (UTSC) because the school is in my home town, close to my support network, has a good indigenous support system, and overall will be easier on my mental health to transfer.
