Petition Letter: Hello,
I appreciate that you are giving me the opportunity to submit my concern and I appreciate your time reading my letter. I'm an interest student taking ANAT 100 in the health sciences program. I applied for this course to pursue further education in a degree program and most likely the health sciences program. Even though I like Anatomy course and I enjoyed studying anatomy and I know I could succeed this course with a high grade if I did not have to go through external circumstances.
During this course I went through many personal issues that prevented me from being able to study and have the time to complete my assignments and focus on the course material more. These circumstances were: Myself and my parents were required to move from the apartment that we used to live in and as I'm considered the only person with my parents that can speak English and the only person that can physically search for a new apartment and work to pay the rent of the apartment, that all prevented me from focusing on my course assignment.
I currently work two jobs to be financially able to pay the rent and other expenses as my parents are disabled to work. Due to working full time, I missed a few assignments that would have helped me with my grade and I did not have enough time to study for the other assignment to achieve higher grade and for most of the assessment I had to complete them at work because I didn't want to miss the deadline but sometimes I couldn't get it done before the deadline.
I tried contacting the course instructor to ask for extension for the assignments deadline or for any makeup assignments for the ones that I missed but they advised me to contact the academic advisor, they also informed me that I'm currently at 53% excluding a few assignments that are upcoming. I'm really concerned that even with these assessments I won't get the grade needed for a degree program whether it's at Queen's university or another university. I kindly ask you for your help and advice about my next step should be and I really need a credit to help me in achieving a higher grade to continue my studies for a degree program and I will really appreciate your help.
