Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: On Monday April 6th an incident occurred to a close friends of mine. Multiple factors caused a trigger in her to self harm. During the next week, myself and other close friends of hers took turns rotating through the hospital showing our support and love for her during this difficult time. The week was an extremely mentally draining time for those involved in the situation. I was experiencing many mixed emotions surrounding the event, and waves of these emotions still occur. I have received lots of help from Queen's Counseling and Michelle Galllant has been amazing with helping me figure out my exams. Focusing on studying for exams has been a challenge and was not a main thought for me last week. However, I have completed three courses already, but I am required to write COMM 251 since the exam is worth 50 therefore an AG is not an option, and I have been confident throughout my PHYS 20 course and I would like to write this exam. Having something to focus on has been nice to take my mind of things, however given this extenuating circumstance, I believe studying and writing ENSC 305 will negatively affect my academic performance.
