Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: I was enrolled in POLS 384 as I thought it was interesting; however, it did not work well with my schedule. Unfortunately, when I went to swap courses I found out that my account was frozen due to my fees being paid late. I can assure you I have paid my school fees, but the buffer period for the deposit to go through was greater than the window to add a course. The reason I waited so long was that I wanted to give my initial course a fair shot. I feel that it takes at least 2-3 weeks to fully get a feel for a course, thus why I waited. Had the buffer period for my money to go through the system been quicker I could have enrolled in the course. I understand and own that I should have done this earlier, but as stated earlier I have always given courses a few weeks to decide whether I enjoy them or not. I have friends in POLS 348 and have heard only good things about the course. It also works with my schedule much better. I just want to be able to take it so I do not have to make up for the course at a later date. I appreciate the consideration.
