Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Dear Madam or Sir,

I would respectfully request to be allowed to drop from the PSYC100 although it is passed the deadline to drop the class. I currently am an Interest student and work a full-time job while pursuing classes with Queens.

I faced an unforeseen situation at work and my responsibilities have been increased, which have caused me to have to work longer hours and be unable to complete Labs as required by the curriculum. I have also been ill in the past few weeks, and I have a learning disability that makes it harder for me to multitask. As a result of all these factors combined, I feel that it would be better for me to drop the class for the time being in order to focus my attention on my current professional responsibilities.

Please let me know if you need medical documentation, and if there is a form that I can have my doctor fill out, and I will provide this documentation as soon as I am able.
