I would like to drop PSYC 100, as I've been experiencing mental health challenges which include depression and anxiety. In recent weeks I have been experiencing headaches, fatigue and a lack of motivation which have made it very challenging to carry a full load of courses. I have just returned home to see a general practitioner over my physical symptoms and feelings as well as an optometrist over vision concerns. The vision issues are related to an overload of my focussing systems and I'm looking at the possibility of vision therapy. As well, I plan to look into mental health supports at the university. I would very much appreciate your approval of my dropping PSYC 100 to relieve some academic stress which will help me to improve my mental health and overall university experience.
I would like to drop PSYC 100 because it's my only elective and won't disrupt my degree plan.
