Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hello,I am requesting to drop this class as I have been unable to keep up with my course work due to extenuating circumstances. Due to family and friend health issues, and deaths throughout the term I have been struggling to keep up with all 5 of my classes. These weeks have been challenging and very draining making keeping up with my classes very difficult.
I have reached out and gotten extra help in my other classes, and am now more caught up. However, in trying to maintain my other 4th and 3rd year courses I fell more behind in this particular class and am unable to catch up.
With the time left in the semester it would be unrealistic of me to be able to catch up in this class and maintain my workload in others, which is why I am requesting to drop this class. In dropping this class I will be able to find more of a balance considering my current mental state, as with these situations I have been finding it difficult
