Petition Letter: I am Xiangyu Wang and my student number is 20285862. I am having emotional and especially mental problems because of CHEM212 and it is impacting my daily life in a serious way. I couldn't even fall asleep at night sometimes. Every time I lay in bed, I was thinking about the lab reports and exams from CHEM 212, it was really painful. When I am taking other courses, I feel to be happy and excited to learn new knowledge. But when I am taking CHEM 212, I am feeling sad and irritable. I do not want my daily life to be like this. So I have made up my mind to drop CHEM212 now. I emailed the chemistry office and the appeals coordinator, they told me to email the counselling service for help, but the counselling service didn't reply to me, it is already been two days. I am really under big pressure now and I don't know what to do. I have decided to change my major to biotechnology instead of biochemistry next year. So CHEM 212 will not be my required course. I couldn't receive a letter from the professional, I didn't seek help from a psychologist because I don't think this will help me. I am really in so much pain right now.
