Petition Letter

Petition Letter: Hi,
I have taken PSYC271 and wrote the exam. I do not feel like the result of my performance reflected what I could have performed. My professor had no clue how to teach. I understand it is his first time teaching but I was under impression that the course was going to go a different direction. The way he taught the course resulted to me learning from the text book and other professors lecture videos online. I deal with mental health issues and the extra anxiety this caused me caused me to shut down on the midterms and the final exam. The professor admitted that he messed up on the midterm and made it hard to do well on with what he was teaching. I am aware that the psychology department is looking into this class but I don??t believe it is fair that I receive a mark that will lower my overall GPA because of the baseline issue of the professor. The course layout was also ambiguous and it seemed like everything was a mess. I chose to take this course because I like the content and I spent the semester anxious and that affected my grade which was out of my control.
