Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: Hi, while I did not have any extenuating circumstances I would like to appeal my grade. I have been in contact with the professor, and he does not seem eager to help, nor provide extra feedback on my assignment. His rubric was extremely unclear, and when requesting extra feedback from the TA, she said I lost marks for things that weren't included on the rubric. I feel that the grading process is extremely unclear, therefore adding stress in an already stressful time (finals). I would like to have my work reviewed as I feel the grading was extremely harsh. We were asked to submit a rough draft to a forum with around 7 other classmates. My feedback from my peers was all extremely positive, and the few suggestions they made, I implemented in my final project. I feel I touched on all aspects of the rubric and was confident in my work upon submission. After receiving my grade I was extremely dissapointed, finding out that I was losing marks for things that weren't included on the rubric. I feel that my professor did little in aiding me and am relatively dissapointed with not only his rubric, but also his lack of providing constructive feedback. If possible I would love to have my work reviewed as, both the TA's and professor are declining to regrade my work. They have provided feedback, but I do not feel their feedback justifies the grade I received.
