Petition Letter: Jennifer Farrell (20329592)

To whom this may concern,

I, Jennifer Farrell, am petitioning to late drop Math 111 and have credit standing for Cisc 101 due to extenuating circumstances.

For the past three years, my father Vince Farrell has been extremely ill. He had a bowel obstruction in 2020 from complications of diabetes, as well as kidney failure resulting in dialysis. But mostly he has had a recurrent cancer that is now untreatable.

After being in the hospital on and off for over two years, he was put into palliative care at home in October 2022. His illness has had a huge effect on me and greatly affected my grades as well as my mental health.

As of today, January 15th 2023, my father is still in palliative care and attending dialysis three times a week now. I have attached my extenuating circumstances letter from my doctor but if you need documentation, please let me know.
