Submit an Academic Petition or Appeal

Petition Letter: To whom it may concern,
My name is Ella Turner and I am a first year student in the faculty of Arts and Sciences. Last semester I was placed on the waitlist for one class and when I spoke to the office they told me to wait it out and sure enough I got in. This semester I was placed on the waitlist for two out of my five classes and had simply assumed it would be the same situation. Now the drop period is over and I am still looking to add two classes. I was placed on the waitlist for Health 102 and have been attending all of the lectures, I just simply do not have access to the classroom online. However I have the notes for the three weeks. I know that Health 101 is very similar and that some spots in the online course have opened up. I would be open to adding either Health 102 or Health 101 to my semester. I am also looking to add Geography 101 in the hopes of maintaining five classes for this second semester. I understand that worries of falling behind are of concern because we are starting the third week, however I believe that with my work ethic and drive I would have no problem catching up and maintaining a respectable Gpa throughout the rest of the semester. I look forward to hearing from you in the hopes of some good news.
