I have carefully considered your request to waive the Faculty ruling that you be Required to Withdraw for One Year.
After reviewing your petition, I have decided to drop ARTH 116 (F22), CHEM 112 (FW22/23), MATH 121 (FW22/23), MATH 121 (S25), CHEM 112 (FW25/26), PHGY 216 (W26) and STAT 263 (W26) after the academic deadline which will remove the Faculty ruling that you be Required to Withdraw for One Year. Your final grades in these courses will be replaced with DR notations on your transcript once this has been processed by the Office of the University Registrar. You may now resume your studies at Queen’s University.
Going forward, please remember to pause and evaluate the impact of extenuating circumstances on your classes prior to the drop deadline of the term. If you have fallen behind in a course or find the material too difficult, you should drop the course by the deadline. The drop deadlines, outlined in the Important Dates section on the Faculty of Arts and Science web page, have been established to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all students.
As you continue in your studies, it is your responsibility to take the necessary steps to support the successful completion of your program and to maintain a GPA consistent with the requirements of your plan. You may find the following strategies helpful:
