I have carefully considered your appeal to drop ECON 111 (F 2015) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I would like to point out that this is a lenient decision. Students are expected to monitor their progress in courses carefully and make decisions to drop courses within the academic deadlines, even in the absence of receiving marks or direct feedback. However, I recognize the fact that you are a first-year student and it does take time and experience to adjust to these academic expectations. For the future, please ensure that you pay close attention to the drop deadlines and drop any courses as needed within them.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
