I have carefully considered your appeal to drop RELS 212, RELS 222, RELS 224 and GNDS 215 (W 2016) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

Please be cautioned that the appeal system is not designed to compensate for extenuating circumstances that are ongoing in nature for which the student is unable or unwilling to effectively resolve or manage. Therefore, for the future you are expected to manage your academics in such a way that you can find a good balance between managing your health and successfully progressing toward completion of your degree. I would suggest that you consider reducing your course load next year as one measure to help strike this balance. I would also strongly urge you to carefully monitor your academic progress and drop any courses as needed within the drop deadlines to avoid having to resort to the appeal system.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
