Dear Mr. Demmings:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop ANAT 312, CHEM 281 (F 2014), CHEM 281 (S 2015) and CHEM 281 (F 2015) past the academic deadline as well as receive Credit standing in NSCI 323 (F 2014), BCHM 218 (W 2015), MICR 221 (W 2015), PHAR 100 (S 2015), ANAT 312, BIOL 330 and PSYC 370 (F 2015). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I understand that your concussion symptoms substantially inhibited your performance in these courses. However, I am confident that the challenges outlined in your appeal are now being managed in such a way that extraordinary measures and exceptions to the Faculty of Arts and Science€™s academic regulations and deadlines will not again be needed. Should you continue to experience any further academic difficulties of this nature, I would encourage you to monitor your progress carefully and drop any courses as needed within the academic deadlines to avoid using the appeals system again. Note that the maximum number of AG and CR grades permitted on a student transcript is 36.0 units.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
