Dear Ms. Manget:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop ENGL 100 (S 2014) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I would like to note that this is a very lenient decision on my part. In order for appeals to be successful, supporting documentation is normally required. However, given that you are first year student and still adjusting to the transition to university I am willing to grant your request without it. However, be cautioned that any further appeals submitted to the Faculty Office will not be successful unless there is adequate supporting documentation provided to confirm the timeline, severity and impact that your extenuating circumstances have had on your academic studies.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
