Dear Mr. Allan:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop ARTH 212, ARTH 215, ARTH 260 and ARTH 292 (W 2017) past the academic deadline as well as request Credit standing in MUSC 171 (F 2016). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request with a condition in place.

Due to the nature of your ongoing academic difficulties, I have made the decision to place you on part-time status. Note that as a part-time student you will be allowed to take a maximum of 18.0 units in the Fall-Winter session with no more than 9.0 units per term (this load is still considered to a full-time load for the purposes of OSAP.) In order to be eligible to progress from part-time to full-time studies, you must fulfill the following conditions:

1. Completed a minimum of 24.0 Queen's credit units, excluding repeated courses, from the time at which they were admitted part-time on a degree Program; and
2. Achieved a minimum Cumulative GPA of 1.90;

OR

1. Completed a minimum of 18.0 Queen's credit units, excluding repeated courses, from the time at which they were admitted part-time on a degree Program; and
2. Achieved a minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.90.

It is my hope that the slower pace of part-time study will allow you sufficient time to remedy the personal and academic difficulties you have faced in the past and thereby enable you to be more successful in your future studies. I would also suggest that you register with Accessibility Services again next year and communicate with your instructors regularly to ensure that your accommodation needs are met.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding.
