Decision Letter

Appeal Number: 3558
Decision Date: June 9, 2017
Associate Dean: Sue Blake
Student Name: Noah Stevens
Student Email: 14nfs@queensu.ca

Dear Mr. Stevens:

I have carefully considered your request to have your appeal heard after the 21-day timeline for submission, and have decided, based on the circumstances you refer to in your letter of appeal, to waive the timeline. You may now proceed with plans to appeal courses from the 2015/16 terms.

Please access on the on-line appeals system at: http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/help/academic-appeals/online-appeal-submission After you enter your NetID and password you will now have a new appeal option called €œSubmit a Late Appeal€. Choose this option and follow the steps.

Your appeal letter should explain why you were able to achieve an A- in PHIL 257 despite not writing your 2016 winter term exams. You will not be required to submit any further documentation. When you arrive at the step asking for documentation, you can write €œin my file€ in the text box and the system will allow you to proceed to the next step.

There will not be a fee for this new appeal, as it will be considered an amendment to your 21-day deadline appeal so the system will skip over the payment step.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Faculty Office for advice or assistance.

Sincerely,

Sue Blake
Assistant Dean (Studies)
