Decision Letter

Appeal Number: 3569
Decision Date: July 4, 2017
Associate Dean: Sue Blake
Student Name: Christopher Tuszynski
Student Email: christopher.tuszynski@queensu.ca

Dear Mr. Tuszynski:

I have carefully considered your request to have your appeal heard after the 21-day timeline for submission, and have decided, based on the circumstances you refer to in your letter of appeal, to waive the timeline. You may now proceed with your planned appeal to request Credit standing in courses from the 2012/13 academic year.

Please access on the on-line appeals system at: http://www.queensu.ca/artsci/help/academic-appeals/online-appeal-submission After you enter your NetID and password you will now have a new appeal option called €œSubmit a Late Appeal€. Choose this option and follow the steps. Your appeal letter must explain why your extenuating circumstances affected these particular courses, and not others taken at the time, and should specifically address the severity of the circumstances as well as the specific impact those circumstances had on the courses you are appealing.

There will not be a fee for this new appeal, as it will be considered an amendment to your 21-day deadline appeal so the system will skip over the payment step.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Faculty Office for advice or assistance.

Sincerely,

Sue Blake
Assistant Dean (Studies)
