Dear Ms. Popatia:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop PHYS P15 (W 2014), IDIS 302 (W 2016), CLST 205, PSYC 205 (S 2016), PSYC 241 (F 2016), PSYC 221 and FREN 219 (W 2017) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

Your request to drop DEVS 230 (Fall 2015) cannot be heard because there is a finding of a departure from academic integrity registered. According to Academic Regulation 1.3 pertaining to Academic Integrity, €œIf the penalty amounts to a failure in the class, the student may not drop the class, regardless of the drop deadlines.€ The penalty assigned for this finding was an F on the final exam which was worth 40 of the final grade and resulted in a failure in the course; therefore it cannot be dropped.

To complete your Bachelor of Arts (General) degree in Political Studies, you need a further 15.0 units (including LAW 202). Assuming that you successfully complete LAW 202, you will need to take 9.0 units in POLS at the 200 level or above and 3.0 units in electives. Both your Plan GPA and cumulative GPA must be at least 1.60 to be eligible to graduate.

Note that any change in academic registration (e.g. dropping courses) may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding such as OSAP, scholarships, or bursaries. Please consult with the Student Awards Office (Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall) to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load. A change in academic registration may also affect a student€™s enrollment status as a full or part-time student, eligibility for student visas, or benefits through external agencies.
