Student Name: Morgan Koo
Student Email: 12mak9@queensu.ca
Dear Ms. Koo:
I have reviewed your request to complete your final term away on a Letter of Permission (9.0 units for Plan BIPS and 6.0 units electives) to complete your Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree with a Specialization in Biology and Psychology (BIPS) at the University of Toronto. As you know, Regulation 14.4 indicates that €œnormally the last two years of the Honours degree are taken in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen€™s.€ However, given the circumstances explained in your letter of appeal, I agree to this request. Please consult with your department regularly to ensure that the courses you select will properly fulfill the Queen€™s requirements for your degree.
You may now proceed with your application for the letter of permission. Please allow up to 21 days to receive a response.
Please note that if you take a full-year equivalent course to CHEM 112/6.0 units, you will lose credit for CHEM 113/3.0 (exclusion), in which case you will require 18.0 units to graduate.
Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the Faculty of Arts and Science Office by 15 May to be considered for graduation at Spring Convocation, or by 15 October for Fall Convocation. Finally, please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.
I wish you well in the remainder of your studies and in your future undertakings.
Yours sincerely,
Sue Blake
