I have reviewed your request to complete the final courses of your BA (Honours) degree with Medial concentrations in Psychology and Sociology at Athabasca University. As you know, Regulation 14.4 indicates that €œnormally the last two years of the Honours degree are taken in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen€™s.€ However, given the circumstances explained in your letter of appeal, and the support of the Sociology Department, I agree to this request. Please consult with your department regularly to ensure that the courses you select at Athabasca University will properly fulfill the Queen€™s requirements for your degree.

I am copying Mrs. Karen Scanlan so she can process the Letter of Permission application now that you have received my permission. Please allow up to 21 days to receive a response from Mrs. Scanlan.

Note that official transcripts with final grades must be received by the Faculty of Arts and Science Office by 15 May to be considered for graduation at Spring Convocation, or by 15 October for Fall Convocation. Finally, please keep in mind that you must achieve a minimum grade of C on each course taken on a Letter of Permission, unless stated otherwise.
