Dear Mr. Puskas:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop CHEM 282 (W 2017) past the academic deadline and receive Credit standing in BIOL 243 and CHEM 281 (F 2016). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request. Your grade in BIOL 243 and CHEM 281 will appear on your transcript as CR.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

I encourage you to manage your health going forward and determine how it is effecting your coursework as you will be expected to drop courses by the end of week 8 and not retroactively ask to have your transcript altered. Future appeals will require documentation of a serious extenuating circumstance after week 8. Deadline dates have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and to facilitate the timely completion of university studies at Queen's.

Yours sincerely,

Jill Atkinson, Ph.D.
Associate Dean (Studies)
