I have carefully considered your appeal to drop POLS 457 (F 2016); POLS 241, STAT 263, POLS 384 (F 2017); POLS 431 and ECON 243 (W 2018) past the academic deadline and
extend the Incomplete grade in POLS 264 (W 2017). After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information supplied by the instructor about the circumstances surrounding this course, I have decided to grant your appeal.
You are permitted up to September 15, 2018 at the latest to write the outstanding assignment in POLS 264 and it is your responsibility to contact Professor Nossal to make the appropriate arrangements.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
Going forward, please note that you will be expected to drop courses by the drop deadline dates. That means stopping to reflect on your progress during week 7 & 8 and dropping any courses in which you have fallen behind by the end of week 8 (the drop deadline). Appeals for late drops are generally reserved for those who encounter problems after week 8 or whose problems are more acute. I would also encourage you to register with QSAS for ongoing support in your future studies.
