I have carefully considered your appeal to drop POLS 264, POLS 262, HIST 270 and LLCU 110 (W 2017) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances but need to warn you that the appeals process is not meant to be used to manage a chronic condition and appeals to drop failed courses or change low grades to Credit will likely not be granted if they are based on the same circumstances. Appeals for Credit and late drops are generally reserved for those who encounter problems after week 8 or whose problems become more acute. I would strongly recommend that you meet with your counsellor from Student Wellness Services during week 7 of the term to evaluate whether you are keeping up with your studies and managing your academics. If your circumstances are having an impact of studies you should drop courses by week 8 of term.
