I have carefully considered your appeal to add BCHM 218 (S 2018) after the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to deny your request.
Your original appeal was based on the argument that you required a minimum grade of C in this course to be eligible to graduate. We have confirmed that this is not the case and you are not required to repeat the course. Your amended appeal letter explains that you now wish to retake this course to improve your mark for graduate school admission. This is not considered to be a valid reason to allow the late registration into a class this late into the term. Furthermore, you had a sufficient amount of time to add this class prior to receiving your final grade but you made the decision to wait until it was too late. I would recommend that you focus your efforts on completing CISC 472 and your last two courses from Athabasca University on a letter of permission.
If you wish to appeal the Associate Dean€™s decision to the Board of Studies, you must submit an appeal to the Board of Studies within 21 days of the date this decision was sent.
