Dear Mr. Zarazua:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop MATH 121 (FW 2017/18) past the academic deadline receive Credit standing in PHYS 117 (FW 2017/18). After reviewing your file I have decided the following:

1. I will grant your request to drop MATH 121. The documentation supplied confirmed that there were serious extenuating circumstances beyond your personal control during the time in which this course was taken.

1. I must unfortunately deny your request to receive Credit standing in PHYS 117. There isn€™t enough evidence to show the specific impact that your circumstances had on your grades in PHYS 117 specifically. Your transcript shows a range of different grades from the impacted term so there is no clear indication that you would have performed significantly better in PHYS 117 under any different circumstances. Without such evidence I cannot justify changing a grade on your academic record.

If you wish to appeal the Associate Dean€™s decision to the Board of Studies, you must submit an appeal to the Board of Studies within 21 days of the date this decision was sent.
