Dear Ms. Hempel:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop PHGY 170 (W 2018) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

Going forward, I would suggest you continue to work with your QSAS Advisor for ongoing support for your ADHD. Further, you will be expected to drop courses by the drop deadline dates. That means stopping to reflect on your progress during week 7 & 8 and dropping any courses in which you have fallen behind by the end of week 8 (the drop deadline). You may want to meet with an Academic Advisor during week 7 of the term to review your coursework and seek advice on courses to consider dropping, if need be. Appeals for late drops are generally reserved for those who encounter problems after week 8 or whose problems are more acute.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
