Dear Mr. Xidos:
I have carefully considered your appeal to receive Credit standing in MATH 121 (FW 2017/18) and BIOL 103 (W 2018). After reviewing your file I have decided the following:
1. I will grant your request to receive Credit standing in MATH 121. It appears that you were not receiving academic accommodations in the fall term (the first half of MATH 121) and your grades show that your fall term performance was lower compared to your winter term performance when you were receiving academic accommodations. Therefore, there is reasonable evidence to show that your final grade was affected by your ADHD and for this reason, I will change your final grade.
2. I must however, deny your request to receive Credit standing in BIOL 103. Your file shows that you received academic accommodations in this class for the winter term, allowing you to participate on a €œlevel playing field€ compared to all students in the class. Therefore, the grade you earned is reflective of your academic performance and does not warrant changing to CR after final grades have been posted.
If you wish to appeal the Associate Dean€™s decision to the Board of Studies, you must submit an appeal to the Board of Studies within 21 days of the date this decision was sent.
