I have carefully considered your appeal to waive the 21-day deadline to submit an appeal late. After reviewing your appeal, I must unfortunately deny your request.
The deadline to submit your appeal to waive the Requirement to Withdraw for One Year was clearly outlined in the letter you received. This deadline is in place to ensure fair decision making takes place in a timely manner and to allow decisions to be made prior to the start of the next academic year so students are not placed at any disadvantage. The 21 day deadline also provides the student with a sufficient amount of time to collect relevant information and documentation for their appeal. Your appeal does not supply any evidence of extenuating circumstances that prevented you from submitting this appeal within the deadline. Without such evidence, I cannot reasonably allow you to submit an appeal at this late date.
If you wish to appeal the Associate Dean€™s decision to the Board of Studies, you must submit an appeal to the Board of Studies within 21 days of the date this decision was sent.
