Dear Ms. Kerr:

I have reviewed your appeal to drop SOCY 226 (F 2016), SOCY 227 (W 2017), ENIN 301, SOCY 226, SOCY 309 (F 2017), SOCY 300, SOCY 306 (W 2018); receive Credit standing in PSYC 100 (FW 2016/17), SOCY 211 (W 2017), SOCY 275 (F 2017); as well as change the grades you received in SOCY 384 (F 2017) and SOCY 389 (W 2018) to Aegrotat standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted, I have decided to grant your appeal.

Your grades in PSYC 100, SOCY 211 and SOCY 275 will appear on your transcript as CR.

The instructor of SOCY 384 has submitted a replacement grade based on the work you have completed, which will appear on your transcript as A- along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€. The instructor of SOCY 389 has submitted a replacement grade based on the work you have completed, which will appear on your transcript as B+ along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€.

I encourage you to continue to seek support from Student Wellness Services and your QSAS Advisor to help you manage your health as well as your Academic Advisor who can help you manage your course load. I would also suggest that you evaluate the impact of your health on your studies prior to week 8 of term and to drop courses if necessary at that time.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

Yours sincerely,

Johanne Bénard, Ph.D.
