Dear Ms. Butt:
I have reviewed your appeal to change the grades you received in HLTH 200, HLTH 205 and KNPE 251 (F 2014) to Aegrotat standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted and the information and feedback supplied by the instructors about the circumstances surrounding these courses, I have decided to grant your appeal.
The instructors of these courses have indicated replacement grades based on the work you have completed, which will appear on your transcript as follows along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€:
HLTH 200 A- €œAegrotat: Estimated Grade€
HLTH 205 B €œAegrotat: Estimated Grade€
KNPE 251 CR €œAegrotat Estimated Grade€ Your instructor in this course could not fairly and accurately assign a final grade so I have assigned a grade of CR meaning €œcredit€ instead. CR grades are not calculated in the GPA.
Unfortunately, I cannot accept your appeal for COMM 631. As this course is being taken as part of your requirements for the Business Certificate Program and it not being counted toward your Arts and Science degree, this course falls under the jurisdiction of the School of Business. You may direct an appeal of this course through their faculty office.
Sincerely,
J. Hugh Horton, Ph.D.
