I am sorry to have read of the health related circumstances you have experienced this year and have carefully considered your appeal to drop PHGY 215 and MICR 221 (W 2019) past the academic deadline due to those circumstances. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I am pleased to see that you have taken important steps to seek help and that you are following advice to reduce your course load. I am confident that in the future you will make every effort to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in the Important Dates section on the Arts and Science web page. Please ensure you assess your progress in your courses or discuss your options with an Academic Advisor during week 7 or 8 of the term. If you find that you have fallen behind in your attendance, readings or assignments, it is your responsibility to drop by the end of week 8. Appeals for late drops are typically only granted when a problem occurs, or becomes acute, after the drop deadline.
