Dear Amalia Toner:

I was sorry to read in your letter of appeal that you have been suffering from a medical condition but I am particularly concerned that you received conflicting information regarding PSYC 100 (FW 2018-19). After careful consideration, I have decided to grant your request based on the circumstances outlined as well as the documentation provided.

I am pleased that you were able to speak with Haley Everson who provided you with accurate information regarding the appeal process and options. In the future, if there are residual symptoms of your concussion, I encourage you to evaluate the impact of your health on your studies prior to week 8 of term and drop any courses which you have fallen behind in.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
