Dear Jonathan Karr,

I was sorry to read of the health difficulties you have experienced this past academic year. After carefully reviewing your appeal change the grade you received in SOCY 210 (F 2018) to Aegrotat standing and to request an incomplete grade extension in SOCY 306 (F 18), I have decided the following:

1. To grant your appeal to for an incomplete grade extension in SOCY 306 (F 18).

2. To deny your request to change the grade in SOCY 210 to Aegrotat standing (F 18).

I have granted the incomplete grade extension in SOCY 306 (W 19) based on your extenuating circumstances. However, I have denied your request for aegrotat standing in SOCY 210 as your course instructor has felt that you had not met the learning outcomes of the course. I am willing to drop SOCY 210 (F 2018) based on the circumstances you have outlined. If you wish to accept the offer of a late drop in that course, please email ascappls@queensu.ca within 21 days and we will proceed with that late drop as well.
