1. To grant your request to drop CISC 271 (W 19) after the deadline.
2. To deny your request to change your grade to Credit Standing (CR) in CISC 260 (W 19).
I have granted your request request to drop CISC 271 (W 19) after the deadline based on the extenuating circumstances you have outlined in your appeal.
I have denied your request to change your grade to Credit Standing (CR) CISC 260 (W 19) as the information we received from the course instructor indicated that you did not fulfil the learning outcomes of the course that warrants Credit Standing.
I would strongly encourage you to be aware of the published deadlines to drop courses, as taking on more courses as you can handle is not grounds for a future appeal. The appeals process is not meant to be used to manage a chronic condition. Instead, students should register with QSAS and work with an accommodation advisor to manage their academics. You should also pause and evaluate the impact of your health on your studies prior to week 8 of term. The week 8 drop deadlines, as they have been outlined in the €œImportant Dates€ section on the Arts and Science web page, have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students and to facilitate the timely completion of university studies at Queen's.
