Dear Sarah Elliott,

After carefully considering your appeal to drop PSYC 100B (W18) and CISC 101 (W 19) past the academic deadline, I have decided to grant your request.

In the future, I am confident that you will make every effort to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in the Important Dates section on the Arts and Science web page. Please ensure you assess your progress in your courses or discuss your options with an Academic Advisor during week 7 or 8 of the term. If you find that you have fallen behind in your attendance, readings or assignments, it is your responsibility to drop by the end of week 8.

I would strongly encourage you to continue working with Tess Grant and continue with officially registering with Queen€™s Student Accessibility Services (QSAS). I would also suggest that you consider selecting courses when possible that will allow for some flexibility of deadline, as that may be beneficial to you.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

Yours sincerely,

Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
