Course: PSYC 202
Term: Fall
Year: 2018
Category: Request credit (CR) standing in a course or courses
Instructor: Professor. R. Flanagan
Course: PSYC 271
Term: Fall
Year: 2018
Category: Drop a course after the academic deadline
Dear Alexandra Ho:
I have carefully considered your appeal to drop PSYC 271 (F 2018) past the academic deadline and receive Credit standing in PSYC 202 (F 2018). After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request. Your grade in PSYC 202 will appear on your transcript as CR.
I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances but I need to warn you that the appeals process is not meant to be used to manage ongoing problems. The Appeal process is designed for students who encounter problems, or whose problems become acute, after the drop deadline. Instead, I encourage you to continue to work with your Counsellor and consider registering with QSAS if accommodations are needed so you can manage both your health and your academics. This could include taking a lighter course load and would include evaluating the impact of your circumstances on your studies prior to week 8 of term.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
Yours sincerely,
Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
