Course: ARTH 208
Term: Winter
Year: 2019
Category: Request aegrotat (AG) standing in a course or courses
Instructor: Matthew Reeve

Dear Maleena Dell:

I was sorry to read of the health related circumstance you experienced on the day of your ARTH 208 exam and I have carefully reviewed your appeal seeking Aegrotat standing in that course. Ideally, I prefer that students complete their exams on an alternate date but based on your explanation and your documentation, I agree to grant your appeal.

The instructor of ARTH 208 (W 2019) has submitted a replacement grade based on the work you have completed, which will appear on your transcript as a B along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€.

Please note that good practice for all students is to evaluate their progress in courses by week 7 of the term. If you have fallen behind or are finding the work load too difficult, you should drop courses by the week 8 drop date deadline. The appeals process is not meant to manage a chronic condition but is designed to assist students who have experienced difficulties after that date.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

Best of luck in the coming year.

Yours sincerely,

Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
