Dear Omri Harary:

I have carefully considered your appeal to drop CISC 322 (F 2018) past the academic deadline and receive Credit standing in CISC 235, CISC 221 (W 2018) and CISC 221, CISC 320 (F 2018) After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request. Your grades in CISC 235, CISC 221 (W 2018 and F 2018) and CISC 320 will appear on your transcript as CR.

I have granted this appeal based on the severity of your extenuating circumstances and the health related challenges that you experienced. But I need to warn you that the appeals process is not meant to be used to manage ongoing circumstances. The Appeal process is designed for students who encounter problems, or whose problems become acute, after the drop deadline. Instead, I would encourage you to work with your medical professionals for ongoing support. I also suggest that you register with QSAS who can help support both your health and academics. This could include taking a lighter course load and would include evaluating the impact of your health on your studies prior to week 8 of term.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
