As per standard practice, I have reviewed your appeal before it proceeds to the Board of Studies for consideration. Based on the additional information and new documentation you supplied with this appeal, I have decided to change my original decision and grant your request for Credit standing in MATH 121, CHEM 112 (FW 2017/18), BIOL 102 (F 2017) and BIOL 103 (W 2018). I will deny your request for Credit standing in PSYC 100 since you were not successful in either of your December or April exams which is a clear indicator that you did not master the course content to the extent to change this grade to CR.

Note that any change in academic registration (e.g. dropping courses) may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding such as OSAP, scholarships, or bursaries. Please consult with the Student Awards Office (Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall) to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load. A change in academic registration may also affect a student€™s enrollment status as a full or part-time student, eligibility for student visas, or benefits through external agencies.

I am confident that in the future you will make every effort to inform yourself of the academic regulations concerning deadlines as they are outlined in Important Dates Section on the Arts and Science web page. These deadlines have been established by the Faculty of Arts and Science to ensure a fair and equitable treatment of all students allowing them to drop courses should health or personal issues affect their studies. The appeals process is designed to address problems that occur, or become more acute, after the week 8 deadline to drop courses.
