I was sorry to read of the health related challenges you have faced in pursuit of your university degree and am sure the circumstances have been difficult to cope with. I have reviewed your appeal to change the grades you received in CISC 371 and CISC 422 (F 2019) to Aegrotat standing. After careful consideration of the documentation you submitted, I have decided to grant your appeal.
The instructors have submitted a replacement grade based on the work you have completed as follows:
CISC 371 (F 2019) will appear on your transcript with a grade of A- along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€.
CISC 422 (F 2019) will appear on your transcript with a grade of A+ along with the notation €œAegrotat: estimated grade€.
I encourage you to continue to seek support from Student Wellness Services and your QSAS Advisor to help you manage both your health and academics. I would also suggest that you evaluate the impact of your circumstances on your studies prior to week 8 of term and to drop courses if necessary at that time.
Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.
