Course: GNDS 120
Term: Fall
Year: 2019
Category: Drop a course after the academic deadline

Dear Robert Jinn:

I was sorry to read of your health related challenges last term and I have carefully considered your appeal to drop GNDS 120 (F 2019) past the academic deadline. After reviewing your file, I have decided to grant your request.

I encourage you to continue to work with your healthcare professionals and to pause to assess your progress in your current courses or discuss your options with an Academic Advisor during week 7 or 8 of the term. If you find that you have fallen behind in your attendance, readings or assignments, it is your responsibility to drop by the end of week 8. Appeals for late drops are typically only granted when a problem occurs, or becomes acute, after the drop deadline.

Note that any change in academic registration may impact government or private-firm student financial assistance eligibility and/or funding. Please consult with the Student Awards Office, Office of the University Registrar, Gordon Hall, to understand the potential implications of changes to course or program registration and/or the consequences of not successfully completing the required course load.

Best of luck with your continued recovery.

Yours sincerely,

Jenn Stephenson, Ph.D.
