I was sorry to read of the difficult circumstances you and your family have experienced during the past year and am so sorry for your loss. I will certainly grant your appeal for Credit standing in MICR 221 and PHGY 216 (W 2019) however I must deny your request for Credit standing in CHEM 282 since Academic Regulation 10.3.2. states that, Credit standing in a course is reserved for situations in which a student, who has completed all of the work in the course including the final examination, and achieved a passing grade in the course, but because of illness or other extenuating circumstances beyond their control, earned a substantially lower grade than might have been expected, normally a grade of C or lower.€ Since you earned a grade of C+ in CHEM 282, this course is not eligible for Credit standing.
Your grades in MICR 221 and PHGY 216 will appear on your transcript as CR.
I am pleased to have read that you are beginning to get back on track but please note that we do have services available to help you with any grief related challenges you may be having. The Student Wellness Services office, located in Mitchell Hall, has counsellors available to assist you during this difficult time.
